Dec 3, 2014

It is with great sadness that I must share with you that one of our Primary PartnerCare colleagues, Warren Stanton, MD, passed away at home on Sunday, November 30th. Dr. Stanton practiced internal medicine for over 30 years. I first met Dr. Stanton when he attended our 2012 talk entitled “Power to the Primaries” and soon after joined our efforts to preserve the private practice of medicine in our communities.  Dr. Stanton was one of our great old-time doctors. He practiced in a home office in Floral Park, and his wife Connie ran the practice. Dr. Stanton epitomized “patient-centric” delivery of medicine. His patients were like family, and he actively spent time speaking with them and their loved ones about their health, diseases, and their personal values and concerns. He was a hands-on doctor that really cared about the human life he was entrusted to care for. Anytime that our ACO team spoke with Dr. Stanton’s patients they raved about him and the care he provided. Although I only knew him for a short amount of time, I will always be grateful for the faith he had in his profession, and the belief that when the dust all settles, private practice will emerge the winner.

I ask that you join me at Calling Hours in showing our respect for our primary care physician colleague, and support for his wife and family:
