Dr. Plancarte has been practicing medicine since her residency at South Nassau Communities Hospital (Mount Sinai), which she completed in 2015 after graduating from medical school in 2010. Passionate about caring for her patients, she views practicing medicine as a calling and a vocation, much more than just a job. What Dr. Plancarte loves most about being a physician is the privilege of guiding, supporting, and educating her patients through the physical and emotional highs and lows they experience over their lifetimes. Her patients describe her as intuitive, relaxed, personable, and easy to talk with.
While in residency, Dr. Plancarte served as Chief Resident and was honored with the Teacher of the Year Award, the Healing Hands Award and Scholarship. She was also salutatorian of her graduating class in medical school.
Beyond being a physician, Dr. Plancarte is a proud daughter of hard-working, first-generation immigrant parents. She is constantly mindful of the sacrifices they made, which enabled her to become the first college graduate and doctor in her family. She is married to her husband of 5 years and has a young son named Jayden. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Plancarte can be found tending to her garden, bike riding with her family, and teaching and performing salsa dancing.
