Raised in the Bronx and fluent in Italian, Dr. Annamaria Patelli has been practicing medicine in the Franklin Square community for over 35 years. While attending medical school in Europe, Dr Patelli chose primary care to direct the overall healthcare of her patients and to participate in all the highs and lows associated with her patient’s health. Dr. Patelli’s favorite aspect of being a physician is being able to solve the mysteries surrounding health issues and she is relentless in her investigation until the mystery is solved and a diagnosis is made. She firmly believes that this relentless pursuit, improves the health of her patients. She is proud that her patients describe her as being compassionate and an active listener.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Patelli was an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at Stony Brook Medical School from 2010-2019, and is currently appointed an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at NYU Langone.
Dr. Patelli has been married to her husband, a practicing physician, for 34 years and they share two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, skiing, and traveling. Dr. Patelli’s favorite vacation spot is Atlantic Ave Beach in Amagansett.
