Dr. Brian Vogel has been practicing medicine for over 25 years. After completing medical school, he initially matched into a general surgery internship at NSUH Manhasset; however, after one year, he decided to switch to Internal Medicine. Dr. Vogel explains that Internal Medicine appealed to him for its challenge of applying a broad range of knowledge towards making difficult diagnoses. Dr. Vogel strongly believes in the importance of educating his patients on their medical conditions and treatment options, as well as having his patients be an active partner in the decision-making process. Dr. Vogel enjoys and values these patient interactions and likes to promote an easy-going atmosphere with his patients.

 

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Vogel was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine from 2013-2018. Since 2017, he has volunteered to precept nurse practitioner and physician assistant students from various schools.

 

Dr. Vogel has been married to his wife, Debbie, for 32 years and has three children: Russell, Elliott, and Bennett. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching the Mets play. Dr. Vogel is also interested in photography and has many of his photos hanging throughout his office.

A very attentive doctor. takes the time to review records at time of visit and goes over any questions you may have. The wait time is typical of most offices (about 15 to 30 min). Staff is good and deals with the cyber entrywork efficiently.

Dr. Vogel is patient, thorough and professional. Conversely wait times can be long. As other users have commented, the office tries to perform all billing up front and given the complex nature of insurance reimbursements that can create some problems. My current insurance is horribly opaque and I blame the industry, not the office. When selecting a physician, I prefer a relationship to a transaction and so for me, I am comfortable settling any over/under payments at a future visit.

I was looking for a doctor who is compassionate, intelligent, personable and nearby. SCORE! Dr. Vogel delivered. He was extremely thorough and gave me great recommendations and insight. I love that he has a patient portal too. The office was clean and the wait time was minimal. I'll gladly wait when I feel that the DR. doesn't rush me and that was exactly the case.
