Donato Balsamo, DO
Family Medicine
“Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.” – Denis Waitley
Dr. Donato Balsamo chose primary care practice because he believes it allows him to truly have a positive influence and make a difference in people’s lives. In his practice, Dr. Balsamo stresses the importance of addressing the entire body, not just a particular organ or system, and takes pride in the fact that his patients have described him as easy to talk to, attentive to detail, kind, and as being a physician who provides comfort and focuses on true health and wellness. Dr. Balsamo says his favorite part of being a doctor is the privilege and opportunity of teaching and educating his patients about their health.
In his free time, Dr. Balsamo enjoys traveling with his son, attending live music and sporting events, scuba diving, camping, and exercising. In fact, Dr. Balsamo’s favorite season is summer for all the outdoor activities that the season brings. Being an avid sports fan (primarily baseball and golf) Dr. Balsamo is proud of the fact that his father played major league baseball for the Chicago Cubs!
Dr. Balsamo is equally passionate about community service and volunteering. He includes Unsung Siblings, Angela’s House, American Cancer Society, and Long Island Cares as causes that are especially important to him.
