Dr. Richard Gold has been a practicing primary care physician for over 30 years. The unique way in which primary care doctors develop close long-term relationships and provide crucial continuity of care to their patients drew Dr. Gold to internal medicine . Dr. Gold is constantly challenged by medicine and all of its complexities and enjoys treating a variety of health issues. Dr Gold is dedicated to always taking the time necessary to make sure he understands his patient’s individual needs and concerns.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Gold serves as school physician for both Stony Brook and Kings Park Schools. He also fulfills the role of Medical Director at St. James Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Dr. Gold has been married to his wife for 35 years and has three children. In his free time, he enjoys biking, running, skiing, and reading. Dr. Gold also loves to take family vacations to Ogunquit, Maine and is currently preparing for his 4th bike tour of Italy.
