"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver." - Mahatma Gandhi
Dr Caine is board certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in treating complex patients. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr Caine always planned on developing his primary care practice in New York after spending seven years training, first at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and then as an Internal Medicine resident at SUNY Stony Brook.
After completing his residency, Dr Caine returned to Texas where he joined Optum’s WellMed, a prestigious medical practice focused on the care of Seniors. He specialized in complex patients with multiple chronic diseases, allowing him to rapidly develop his medical acumen and practice style of truly listening to his patients. After five years, Dr Caine and his family moved back to New York, and he practiced with another Medicare-focused medical group where he also served as Medical Director until he was handpicked to join Primary PartnerCare Physicians.
Dr. Caine was drawn to primary care as he enjoys the breadth of internal medicine and the opportunity to build lifetime trusted relationships with his patients. With his outgoing personality and love of people, Dr Caine has the gift of making patients comfortable and instantly knowing they are being heard and truly listened to. It is this bond and connection that Dr Caine believes is critical to good medical care. Dr Caine believes in listening and meeting patients where they are, always respecting their individual values and beliefs.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Caine can be found spending time with his wife of nine years, Lisa, along with their two young children, Owen and Aime. In his free time, Dr. Caine is an avid basketball fan and dedicates time to volunteering at his children’s school. In Fall, Dr. Caine can be found admiring the changing leaves while listening to his favorite band, Coldplay.
