“When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.” — Rick Warren
Raised in Hicksville, Dr. Michael Epifania has a specific focus in preventive medicine— teaching ways to help form better habits to prevent illness and disease. He understands his patients are all unique with different challenges and stress, and prides himself in taking the time to listen and work with his patients one step at a time to build healthier habits that are obtainable and help them live their best lives. Dr Epifania believes that prevention is lifelong practice with a lot of upside reward, and that modern medicine is about balancing risk vs. benefit when evaluating possible treatments.
Most recently, Dr Epifania worked as a primary care physician for Stony Brook Medicine. His patients describe him as compassionate, genuine, and thoughtful in his approach. In serving his community, Dr. Epifania has volunteered for the Wantagh-Levittown Ambulance Corps. He also enjoys biking, stargazing, spending time with his family, and playing chess.
